It was the last summer season club day for Deeping when they fished their own Horseshoe Lake near Wansford for the John Harris Cup. Phil Price was the winner from peg 19 fishing a feeder to the far bank with a wafter bait and also on the pole at 2 plus 4 on banded pellet, he took quality carp and bream to weigh 75 lb 10 oz and take his first trophy of the season. In second place from peg 39 was Graham Wright who also caught on the feeder with a wafter bait and then 2 plus 2 on the pole with worm and corn to finish with 49 lb 7 oz. Third place went to Neil Speechley fishing the feeder from peg 16 to weigh 30 lb 9 oz.
