The heavy rain during the night and the windy conditions on the day, saw a difficult match for Deeping St James Angling Club on one of the clubs stretches of the River Nene. The river was just starting to lose its colour but was fast flowing and still 18 inches over depth from the recent flooding. This was the 3rd round of the DILS cup and a first win of the winter season for Jason Chatham, weighing in with 9lb 10oz. Fishing an inside line on bronze maggots over casters and ground bait, catching most species of silvers, including a nice Chub.
