An evening session on the clubs own Horseshoe lake at Sibson for this week’s Club Day. Warm weather with heavy showers / Thunderstorms was the forecast. Whilst a fairly heavy shower briefly appeared, only distant rumblings of thunder could be heard.
Taking full advantage of the fish in the upper layers, winners by a small margin (could have been smaller !) father son combination of Stuart and Dylan Baxter with 104 lb 4 oz. Sticking to the waggler method all day and catching good sized carp at a regular pace. Stuart casting to the far bank, with Dylan doing most of the hard work playing the fish back in from peg number 15. Second place to Antony Johnson with 97 lb 14oz. Fishing Pellet waggler at long range to the rear of the reeds on peg number 34. Third Place to Jason Chatham with 70 lb 4oz. Fishing method feeder tight to the far bank from peg number 16.
