First trip of the season to Fenland and Kingsland Silvers Lake awaited the 12 Anglers. The cool northerly wind was still blowing but a very bright and sunny day.
Anglers would be fishing in a triple header today, with the second round of the Individual Knockout Cup, the first round of the Fenland Cup and the Club Cup.
Ray Torrington took first place from peg number 1, finishing up with 95lb 1oz. Ray took his first fish on the surface with dog biscuit, followed by two fish on the straight lead with 8mm pellet. The majority of Ray’s catch came from the margin on sweetcorn on a margin pole.
Second place from Peg number 3 was Phil Price with 65lb 9oz. Rotating through various methods to find the fish, Phil caught on Bread or Cat meat in the margins.
Third Place was Dave Marzell with 53lb 6oz from peg number 11. Dave catching in the first minutes of the match used big bread on the feeder as well as Liquidised Bread & Corn on the feeder.
