Back on the clubs own Horseshoe Lake at Sibson for the final match of the summer series. Another great turnout with 21 anglers pitching up to compete for the John Harris Cup. Fine and dry conditions following a wet week, with a very autumnal feel to the air.
Amongst those fishing today we welcomed back Mick Wright into the numbers and also had Paul Wild fishing who won the John Harris Cup in the 1980/81 season.
The winner today by a clear margin of 25lb was Dave Marzell. Dave fished peg 36 and ended up with 58lb of Carp. Fishing up against the reeds with bread punch on the feeder.
Second was Jason Chatham with 33lb 13 oz of Carp and Bream from Peg 15. Fishing white Wowzers in 2mm pellets on the method feeder to the far bank.
Third was Nigel Collis with 29 lb 5 oz from Peg 14. Fishing the method feeder to the far bank and 13m pole with red maggots and worm.
