Deeping were fishing their own Horseshoe Lake near Wansford for the second round of the Wade Cup and it was the last of two evening matches. Tony Johnson is fast becoming the venue expert as he extended his lead in this cup series fished over three round with the winner having the highest aggregate weight. Tony draw peg 18 and fished at 13 metres over micro pellet switching between corn, pellet and worm on the hook to take bream and quality carp to weigh 71lb 2oz. In second place from peg 38 was Ron Needham who took most of his carp and bream catch on the method feeder using banded pellet to weigh 57lb 8oz. Third was Colin Fisher on peg 16 who finished with 35lb 11oz.
