Match Result – Sunday 5th January 2025

First match of the new year and the eighteen brave anglers were greeted with the first snow of the winter season. Temperatures had fallen recently, but pleasure anglers were still catching in the run up to Sunday. The overnight snow melt was just starting to get into the river and rain was forecast for the day. The river would be rising but not in time to trouble the match.

Anglers would be competing in the second round of the Deeping Individual League Series. A points based competition spread over five rounds. They also would be competing in the first round of the Dawkins River Cup. Fished over two rounds for best overall weight. Ray Torrington is the current holder of both trophies.
